Story

Graeme Elston started with us from the very first flexi (now Frosty 16) as Love Parade, then Pure as solo on Frosty 1, Pure as band on Frosty 2, which here changed name to Eva Luna. Later Eva Luna is more like solo again with a help from Alex Eckford of Astronaut. Simple?

The title song Tangle is grand. Don't know how else to describe it. Starts almost fragile, then, bang! Everyone just hit their instruments the hardest. But even with all that noise, you get the feeling it's all under control - I think that's Graeme's vocal that does that.

Seven Wonders is a pop burst, a rare Sugarfrost dance floor track! Jun de Nelorie adds cool backing vocal here. This is just such fun!

This release is the first of Paradiso designs. Paradiso was originally a fanzine, joint effort by JP (who is the designer here) and Eddie from Evelyn Tremble (Frosty 12). They also wrote some of the short stories of our booklet sleeve series. JP was working for a regional newspaper as a designer, hence had the access to the computer and professional software.

Now you see this sleeve and think, anyone can do that. Yes, anyone can do it better now. But at that time in 1993, we were so impressed! Now we see how uneven the spaces between the leaves are and smile fondly. Those were the days. Paradiso boys, Graeme Elston and us (John and Akiko) were the Sugarfrost team. We had many great laughs together.

Oh, JP, where are yer?

PS - JP got in touch after seeing this, internet magic, eh!😆
