Story

This release is a jewel of all Sugarfrost releases - most beautiful love song Junshin simply shines. Modest maybe, but sheer beauty is always found in most simple style, isn't it? Adorned by string quartet played by real people not machine... breathtaking. Love this. This is Sugarfrost.

Hachino, the singer and songwriter of B-flower, says this is the most straight-forward love song that he always wanted to write but never succeeded in his 30 years of songwriting. Suddenly, it's here. The song, the players, the arrangement and the vessel.

Talking of vessel, Boat is a re-working of one of their mid-90s tracks. Totally re-recorded, this is a pop song. Matured, yet very fresh feel to it at the same time. This is the band who seriously love what they are doing!

Incidentally, Boat is the title of their unreleased Sugarfrost album, planned in mid-90s. It was to feature the original version of this song, which sounded somewhat sleepy in sleek production (was out on Toshiba EMI). I suppose the song was half asleep then, waiting for the right opportunity to rise and shine?

Sleeve is again designed and hand-printed by Akiko on a lovely thick kraft paper (touch and feel it!). The package includes a B-flower 1" button badge designed by the band  (home-made at Sugarfrost HQ), colour lyric card (in Japanese only but pictures by Akiko, designed by Hachino) and insert.

Having released this in about quick 3 months from the planning, we feel kind of drained and happily exhausted. This is a good record. Didn't have so much time to go drumming about this on the runway, buy hey, no hurry. This is a Sugarfrost classic, there is no sell-by date attached.
